Delays with Flu Clinic held on 25th November 2021 at Hanscombe House Surgery
Our flu clinics usually run very smoothly however, please accept our sincere apologies for the long delays that occurred during the above Clinic.
The delays were caused by unfortunate circumstances whereby a patient presenting with extremely complex conditions required admission to hospital. This resulted in our nurses having to treat the patient at the Clinic and to respect the privacy and dignity of the patient concerned, patients arriving for their vaccination formed a queue outside.
Whilst it is our usual policy for an announcement to be made when appointments are running late, due to the busyness of events, unfortunately, this did not happen. Our receptionist is very sorry for not keeping patients informed as it would have given them the choice of either waiting or re-booking their appointment, particularly due to the cold weather conditions.
